HOW TO LIVE A BLESSED LIFE IN CHRIST PART ONE

BY: PASTOR MUYINGO JOSEPH

Jeremiah 17:7

“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.”

INTRODUCTION

A blessed life is not merely about wealth, success, or material possessions. A truly blessed life is a life connected to God through Jesus Christ, a life filled with peace, purpose, joy, salvation, and eternal hope.

The foundation of every blessed life begins with accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Personal Savior.

1. ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST AS LORD AND PERSONAL SAVIOR

Before a person can experience the fullness of God’s blessings, they must first have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Sin separated humanity from God, but Jesus came to restore that broken relationship through His death and resurrection.

The Bible says;

i)            “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”Romans 3:23

ii)          “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”Romans 6:23

iii)         “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”John 3:16

iv)        “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”Romans 10:9

HEY, WHAT IT MEANS TO ACCEPT JESUS

Accepting Jesus means:

  • Believing that Jesus is the Son of God

  • Repenting from sin

  • Surrendering your life to Him

  • Trusting Him completely for salvation

  • Following Him daily

When someone truly receives Christ, transformation begins. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

Let me give you an example of the Lost Child

A child once got lost in a crowded market. He cried in fear because he could not find his way home. But when his father found him, the child immediately ran into his father’s arms, and peace returned instantly.

Humanity is like that lost child. Sin separated us from God, but Jesus came to bring us back to the Father.

Luke 19:10 says, “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

What does this mean?

A blessed life begins when we return to God through Christ.

2. Another illustration of the Dirty Garment

Imagine being invited to a royal wedding while wearing dirty clothes. No matter how valuable the invitation is, the dirty garment cannot enter the palace. The king must first provide clean garments.

Sin stains our lives, but Jesus cleanses us completely.

Isaiah 1:18 reminds us that “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.”

What does this mean brother and sister who is listening?

Good works alone cannot save us; only Jesus can make us righteous before God.

Our last example as I finish.

A prisoner sat condemned because of his crimes. One day, an innocent man stepped forward and paid the full penalty so the prisoner could go free. The prison door opened, but the prisoner had to decide whether to remain inside or walk into freedom.

Jesus paid the price for our sins on the cross. “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”Romans 5:8

Listen to me beloved ones; Salvation is available to everyone, but each person must personally accept Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour of his/her life.

THE BLESSINGS OF ACCEPTING CHRIST

When we receive Jesus into our lives:

  • We receive forgiveness of sins

  • We become children of God

  • We receive peace with God

  • We gain eternal life

  • We receive the Holy Spirit

  • We begin walking in God’s purpose and favour

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” Says John 1:12

PRAY WITH ME THIS PRAYER TO RECIEVE CHRIST JESUS

“Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I confess that I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins and rose again. I accept You as my Lord and Personal Savior. Come into my heart, change my life, and help me live for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

CONCLUSION

A blessed life does not begin with money, success, or fame. It begins with Jesus Christ. Without Christ there is emptiness, but with Christ there is peace, joy, purpose, salvation, and eternal life. Jesus is the foundation of every truly blessed life. “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33”
