The identity God gives us is because of the security and joy He desires for us. And of all that Scripture teaches us about the vast riches of our identity in Christ, sonship (sons and daughters) is the greatest of them all.
While this is my conviction and passion, I will show that Scripture itself that bears this claim out. And in my book, I have some extraordinary insight from Evangelical scholars like J.I. Packer and John Stott – to name but a few – who hold to this conviction as well.
What does it mean to be a son or daughter of God the Father – through Jesus? Why is it significant? How can knowing this most important aspect of your new identity transform you?
This book answers those questions, but it also offers immediate application throughout, so that what we read is put into action and we grow in Christ throughout the book. That is why I subtitle it, “A Devotional Study.”
