Urgent Prayer Request from “Good News From the North” - GFN 90.1 FM Radio station in Lokichar, northwest Kenya:

The CEO of the radio station writes ~ “15th September midday was our day to launch Pastor Brad Abley’s weekly radio programs; but calamity struck us. My technician mishandled our transmitter. Something inside got burnt & it doesn’t work now!

Pray with us for we have to get a replacement RIGHT away.

I got this beautiful machine (Cyberwave) all the  way from Europe, and on the very day of the test transmission, my technician made the terrible blunder. But we  thank God for the experience. We know God has a good plan for us  his children here. We feel like soldiers engaged in a spiritual warfare! Our only weapon is prayer.

Only about 10% of the Turkana people are Evangelicals Resource: The Joshua Project

The Cyberware transmitter is the box in the middle.

GETTING ON AIR –THE URGENCY:

“We can and must get on air in a couple of days. Everything is set except for this machine. I am doing all I can to secure a substitute. Even a used one.

Turkana needs the gospel. And every day lost is a tragedy.”

  • Pray for the transmitter to be replaced quickly

  • Pray against any other set backs

  • Pray for the Turkana people to receive Christ

From Pastor Brad:

To our Friends and Partners, please join the Radio Station, Pastor Brad and Maureen in prayer for God to do a miracle for this tiny radio station located in a remote area! The passion in which the CEO of Radio station writes is very moving. The name of the station is so fitting “Good News for the North,” this a big mission field - Reaching the Turkana People.

The station will air Pastor Brad’s programs 10 times per week: 5 times in English. 5 times in local language.

Thank you for Standing in the Gap for this tiny radio station with a GOD SIZED vision.
